Situated between two rivers Apa\u0161\u010dia and Agluona, and two lakes \u0160irv\u0117na and Kilu\u010diai, Bir\u017eai is exceptionally rich with natural phenomena.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/baltic360.lt\/360\/1_lietuva\/birzai\/birzai_apzvalga\/index.html\">PANORAMIC VIEW OF BIR\u017dAI <span uk-icon=\"icon: play-circle;\"><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>EXTRAORDINARY NATURE OF BIR\u017dAI<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>The nature in Bir\u017eai region has always been very special: at one place or another, the ground collapses, creating karst sinkholes. There are more than 9,000 such sinkholes in the Bir\u017eai region. The most famous one, Cow\u2019s Cave in Karajami\u0161kiai Natural Park, is the most researched geological monument in northern Lithuania.<\/p>\n<p>If you climb to the top of the 32-meter-tall observation tower in Kirkliai village, you will be able to observe the breath-taking view of 30 karst lakes. Sometimes in summer, when the natural circumstances fit together, the lakes appear in different colours.<\/p>\n<p>\u0160irv\u0117na Lake, one of the region&#8217;s most beautiful lakes, is home to Lithuania&#8217;s longest pedestrian bridge.
